HEL Rimu is a well-established Taranaki electrical business and we’re looking for an experienced Electrician to join our crew working throughout Taranaki. This is a full-time, permanent position, working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, starting 7:30am.
Due to high demand, HEL Rimu currently has two full-time positions available.
If you’re a service and industrial sparky who thrives on variety, fault-finding, breakdowns, maintenance, and a different challenge every day, we want to hear from you. If you’re more of a Projects person who likes getting stuck into a job and seeing it through from first fix to final sign-off, we’ve got plenty of that too.

What you’ll be doing
– Depending on your background and preference, your normal work week could include:
– Fault-finding, servicing, and breakdown response across residential, commercial, and industrial sites
– Planned preventative maintenance and callouts
– Electrical installation on large-scale residential renovations, commercial fit outs, and new builds
– First and second fix wiring, and testing of installation, ranging from new homes to large commercial and industrial projects
– Reading and working from plans and specifications
– Liaising with other trades on site to keep projects moving
– Customer-facing work, you’re often the face of the business on site
– Working as part of a larger team with support around you

What we’re after
– Current New Zealand Electrical Practising Licence
– Full NZ driver’s licence
– Strong fault-finding ability, solid installation background, or ideally both
– Experience in service, industrial, maintenance, or project electrical work
– Good communication skills and comfortable dealing with customers or other trades on site
– Reliable, self-motivated, and takes pride in doing the job right
– Experience with pumps, motors, machinery, control systems, or plan reading is a plus
– A strong eye for quality, with an understanding that attention to detail is what sets good work apart from great work.
